"The World is Not Enough"

Sorry, Mister Bond. I'm not as ambitious as you are. I think it suffice to say, "The weekend is not enough."

Her Protector

He stands so close to her
She's all that he sees
His baby he needs to protect
Held in the crook of his arm
The other fending everyone else off

But really, all you end up doing is
closing yourselves off

She'll dance ever so prettily in front of you
Though there's the only place she can shine
Enclosed in the ballerina-box

Noteworthy

A comment on Switchfoot left on Youtube:

"No [their] music isn't Christian. The band members are but they said it's a faith not genre."

Their music reflects their faith, not a category.

I didn't want to work, so was looking through some videos. Came across Switchfoot's This is Home from the Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian movie soundtrack.

Was struck by the children's yearning for Narnia and to return to the place of beauty and courage, where everything was right in the world. Was especially reminded of how they were returned to Narnia and saw the robes that they had worn before. How as they touched the items familiar to them, there was recognition, belonging.

It's hard to envision that I have been made royalty, that God has given me a place in His kingdom through Christ's work on the Cross. But truly that's where He desires me to be.

Oh where have my eyes been wandering off to?

Greetings amigos! When my brother and I were kids, my dad used to read us CS Lewis books before we went to sleep. So when we were asked to be involved in a movie based on his book, "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" - we were honored to be considered.I wanted to capture the longing that is embedded in much of Lewis' writing- so I tried to think back to what these stories meant to me when I was six years old and write from that perspective. The song that came out is called "This is Home." It's been quite a journey: a San Diego song with strings cut at Abbey Road in London complete with a video shot in Hollywood. We are so excited to not only share this song with you, but you can hear the song streaming on our website, myspace, and facebook. The song will also be featured on the soundtrack, which is being released through Hollywood Records on Tuesday May 13th in stores everywhere. This is our first venture as an independent band- so thank you for being a part of this! And thanks again for all your continued support.- Jon Foreman
